“The Cosby Show” was an American television sitcom starring Bill Cosby and Phylicia Rashad, which aired for eight seasons on NBC from September 20, 1984 until April 30, 1992. The show focuses on the Huxtable family, an upper middle-class African-American family living in Brooklyn, New York.
According to TV Guide, the show "was TV's biggest hit in the 1980s, and almost single-handedly revived the sitcom genre and NBC's ratings fortunes". The Cosby Show helped to make possible a larger variety of shows with a predominantly African-American cast.
Nowadays its reputation is somewhat posthumously tattered, because of the sexual assault allegations against Bill Cosby.
Nevertheless, in this
Outtake from Season One, a very young Keshia Knight Pulliam as Rudy Huxtable
throws a scene with an unexpected remark, and in fun Phylicia Rashad who plays
her mother takes her across her knee – but we see only a short glimpse of that.
Which is why I slowed down the ending.
Spanker: Phylicia Rashad
