In this scene, it seems,Javier asks for the allowance to see Isabel, and is told by her father to leave the house. The angry mayor takes Isabel over his knee and spanks her, then leaves in anger. Isabels mother, now in anger too, takes her across her lap and continues the spanking, and, when finished, takes the younger sister Ana over her knee and spanks her bottom too, just in case.

The Unloved is a British television drama.

It is about an eleven year old girl called Lucy growing up in a children's home in the UK's care system, and shown through her perspective. Having been neglected by her estranged mother and father, she is placed in a children’s home. Through her eyes, we follow Lucy’s struggle to cope with the system. Colbert falls in love with adventurer Fred MacMurray, causing no end of scandal with the Puritan townsfolk. A hateful little girl (Bonita Granville) pretends to be "possessed", thereby convincing the Salemites that Claudette is a witch. Tried and convicted of sorcery, the poor girl is sent to be burned at the stake, but is rescued in the nick of time by MacMurray, who convinces the townsfolk that they've been the victim of a hoax. Maid of Salem earned a footnote in entertainment history in 1937 when it was booed off the screen of New York's Paramount theatre by fans who wanted to see the evening's real attraction--a performance by Benny Goodman and his orchestra.

This movie contains two spanking related scenes.

From the beautiful filmization of the legendary, pulitzer prize winning novel by Harper Lee, that celebrates the 50ieth anniversary of its first publication in 2010.


The story takes place during three years of the Great Depression in the fictional "tired old town" of Maycomb, Alabama. The narrator, six-year-old Scout Finch, lives with her older brother Jem and their widowed father Atticus, a middle-aged lawyer. Jem and Scout befriend a boy named Dill who visits Maycomb to stay with his aunt for the summer. The three children are terrified of, and fascinated by, their neighbor, the reclusive "Boo" Radley.
Atticus is appointed by the court to defend a black man named Tom Robinson, who has been accused of raping Mayella Ewell, a young white woman. Although many of Maycomb's citizens disapprove, Atticus agrees to defend Tom to the best of his ability. Other children taunt Jem and Scout for Atticus' actions, calling him a "nigger-lover". Scout is tempted to stand up for her father's honor by fighting, even though he has told her not to. Finally the world of the children breaks apart....

In this scene young Scout and her brother Jem bring poor Walter Cunningham, a classmate, home as a lunch guest. Due to his inexperienced table manners, Scout makes a derogatory remark, which leeds the black housekeeper Calpurnia to call her into the kitchen, scold her and give her a good smack on her bottom.
Later out on the porch, her father talks to her and teaches her mildly one of the lessons of life.

NOTE: In the german dubbing of that movie (although not in the german subtitles) the words that Scout is mumbling in the porch scene after the smacking are translated differently to what she is actually saying.

In the german dubbing:

SCOUT: Calpurnia scolded me. And she smacked me on the bottom.
ATTICUS: (very dryly) How terrible.

NOTE 2: The writers of that german dubbing probably took the liberty to write that differently from the fact, that there is a – different - scene in the novel where Scout is actually spanked (by her uncle Jack), that does not appear in the film.

TWO WOMEN (Italian: La Ciociara, roughly translated as "[The Woman] from Ciociaria") is a 1960 Italian film inspired from neo realism, based on the novel by Alberto Moravia.

The story centers on Cesira, a widowed Roman shopkeeper, and Rosetta, her devoutly religious teenage daughter, during World War II. To escape the Allied bombing of Rome, Cesira and her daughter flee southern Lazio for her native Ciociaria, a rural, mountainous province of central Italy. After the Italian liberation, mother and daughter decide to go back to Rome. Along the way, however, an unexpected tragedy happens. As they rest in a bombed out church, they are captured and raped. Rosetta is particularly traumatized and has contrasting feelings for her mother.

Before the scene in question, Rosetta disappears one evening to go out with an older boy, without asking or telling her mother.

She is very protective of her younger brother and a mentally challenged friend, and takes a liking to her counselor. She dreams of having an ordinary life and escaping the juvenile home she regards as a prison. Lilika fantasizes about her future as she hopes for a way out of the orphanage.

THE STOLEN JOOLS (1931) FUNNY LINE

The Stolen Jools (the writing is correct) is a short comedy film produced by the Masquers Club of Hollywood, featuring many cameo appearances by the film stars of the day. They appeared in the film to help raise funds for the National Variety Artists Tuberculosis Sanitarium.

This film was thought to be a lost film until a print was found in the UK in the
1990ies.


At the "Screen Stars Annual Ball" Norma Shearer has her jewels stolen. The police must find them and return them to her.
Finally it turns out, that child star Mitzi Green took them when they were left over, in order to prevent them from being stolen. She gives them to the police man and then has one of the strangest closing lines ever used in a movie (since it has ABSOLUTELY NO connection to the plot or the action that took place):


"And the moral of the story is: Never spank a child on an empty stomach"
Followed by a dull giggle.

The pictures clearly seem to be derived from a mainstream movie or television show. It seems to depict the F/f over the knee spanking of an asian girl.

BEFORE WOMEN HAD WINGS is a 1997 television film, starring Oprah Winfrey and Ellen Barkin, based on the story by Connie May Fowler about a mother whose abusive husband commits suicide, and she starts to violently abuse her two daughters. It is only then a kindly black lady becomes good friend with her youngest daughter, Bird, who can escape the harsh realities of life.

The mother,Glory Marie eventually discovers that Bird has been visiting Zora, the black woman, and violently beats her daughter with a belt and leaves.

Based on Lillian Hellmans play of the same name: Best friends Karen Wright and Martha Dobie are headmistresses at a successful private school for girls in New England. Mary Tilford, a spiteful, angry child, tells her grandmother that Martha's Aunt Lily thought those feelings were "unnatural." Grandma believes her and pulls Mary out of school. The word quickly spreads and within days Karen and Martha are faced with empty classrooms...

In the scene in question, naughty Mary Tilford plays ill, so Dr. Cardin gets called and when he discovers that she made it up, he gives her an extremely sound smack on her behind.


NOTE: The play was filmed before, 1936, under the title "THESE THREE", also directed by William Wyler, and there Bonita Granville received for her performance as Mary not only an Oscar nomination but also a very sound smack by Joel McCrea

THE CURSE OF THE CAT PEOPLE (1944) M/f OFFSCREEN

This mostly unrelated sequel to Cat People (1942) has Amy, the young daughter of Oliver and Alice Reed. Amy is a very imaginative child who has trouble differentiating fantasy from reality, and has no friends her own age as a result. She makes an imaginary friend though, her father's dead first wife Irena who appears as a ghost.

Since her parents do not believe her that her invisible friend is real, her father threatens her with a spanking when she continues to phantasize, and when she still claims to see her, he takes the child upstairs to spank her.

NOTE: Ann Carter was an offscreen spankee in "Blondie hits the Jackpot" (1949), too.

From A TV movie of the 90ies: A community is quick to condemn a father after his 11-year-old daughter claims he molested her, but during the ensuing courtroom trial, serious questions about the child's story and her motivation for telling it arise: Because, directly before her claims she had been spanked by her father and had sworn revenge.
The shocking truth revealed is: Despite of that motivation the molestation had actually been taking place....

This drama is based on a famous Canadian trial.

The translation of the Thai title means literally '5 Heart Heroes'.

Lek, a Thai boxing instructor teaches Thai boxing to a group of kids for their self-defence. He is like both teacher and father to the kids – Wuth, Catt, Pong and Jib. The four have to look after Wuth’s little brother, Woon who has a heart problem. Soon, they came across a twist of fate that leads them to fight a gang of hooligans. This causes a sudden heart attack to Woon, resulting him to have a heart transplant immediately. Unfortunately, the hospital they were in has been seized by an international terrorist group led by Paeda. Unavoidably, they get involved and fight against the terrorists, as they need to save Woon’s life and help their country at the same time.

This scene takes place after the fight gainst the holigans, when the kids, although havíng been on the just side, get punished by ther coach Lek.

THE motion picture answer to the 1970ies/80ies BMX bike cult: The story of Cru Jones, a young man who can overcome all obstacles that prevent him from participating in the BMX race "Helltrack." As he works towards his dream, Cru falls in love with Christian, an amateur racer. With the help of Christian and her friends, Cru's "Rad Racing Team" tries to defeat the top BMX factory rider.

In this clip the team, invluding Cru's little sister, is tayloring his uniform and other equipment stuff. The little one stabs her big brother secretly with a needle,and when the people around her find out about that trick (after a little irritation) they decide to playfully spank her.

This a larger clip from the film, since, due to the original codec, it could not be decoded and edited without making it unwatcheable.

I quote from the old Arild movie forum, which is still existing, still long-time-dead :

Tony Franciosa did spank a little girl, Julia Benjamin,
in an episode of his early 60's sitcom VALENTINES DAY.
The episode is "Mama Loathes Papa".

I remember that episode well. The little girl, who was spoiled rotten, and her equally spoiled mother come to stay with Val after separating from the downtrodden man of the family. Val eventually gives the girl a "bop on the bottom." He then looks up the father and tells him to take back control of the family. (Hey, it was the 60's.) The father comes in at the end announcing, "I've come to get my pants back." He then drags his daughter off-screen for another spanking -- she tells Val that her father is much better at it than he is -- and then threatens his wife with the same thing if she doesn't come with him. (Hey, it was the 60's.) She challenges him but then thinks better of it and goes off to pack. (Too bad.)
I think the wife was played by Shirley Knight/ Joyce van Patten, but I'm not sure.

TYLLUAN WEN (1997) M/f , c,s, w

Tylluan Wen is a Welsh language film / television drama produced in Wales in 1997 by Ffilmiau'r Nant. It is an adaptation of Angharad Jones's novel Y Dylluan Wen (The White Owl). The film is studied as part of the Welsh literature GCSE course.

Story:
Martha arrives at blaenau, after traveling from Ireland, and leaving her baby behind. She comes seeking vengeance over her fathers death. Ifor Price, she thinks, is responsible for her fathers death, and she wants to get revenge on him. She tricks him in to having an affair with her. Her identity is kept hidden until the very end, where her real name is Eirlys, but she gives the false name of Martha. The old school cook, and Roger Price discover her true identity, but it's too late.

In a backflash into Marthas childhood, we see her and a male schoolmate being thoroughly caned because they had spilt milk on the floor at dinner time, since the girl is allergic to milk.

NOTE: Until now this seems to be the only mainstream movie child spanking from a welsh film ever filmed.

Classic 80ies corn based on a novel by Henry De Vere Stacpoole : On a Journey to San Fransico Richard, his father and cousin Em find them selves on a ship about to explode. Rushed to a life boat with Paddy Button, the two children escape while their Father (and Uncle) are on another life boat. In the chaos following the life boats are separated. Paddy, Richard and Em find themselves with no food and no water stuck in the middle of no where.

This scene takes place on the ship, when both protagonists are still young. They constantly interrupt the afternoon sleep of of one of the sailorman. When he finally wakes up, he catches the boy and spanks him otk, while the girl fights his mighty arms. Then he proceeds, takes the girl otk, raises his hand and – stops, because the ship starts sinking. An incredibly missed opportunity

Blondies takes over, and sets out to set matters right.

In the end, the very contrite thirteen year old girl who was responsible for all the fuss apologizes to everbody, and when she is in the kitchen with Blondie asks her for a spanking… which we hear following after the most unusual request.

Aired on April 1 , 1960 (Season 2, Episode 26)

Stu Bailey and Jeff Spencer were the wisecracking, womanizing private detective heroes of this Warner Brothers drama. Stu and Jeff worked out of an office located at 77 Sunset Strip in Los Angeles.

In this episode Stu Bailey's efforts to find a woman's missing necklace are hampered by the well-meaning efforts of her scatterbrained mother and her bratty daughter, both of whom are actresses with overactive imaginations.

In the final scene, the daughter is found bound, and, when she actually tries to phone the press, she receives a sound spanking from her mother to the benefit of one eye and several ear witnesses. Spanking is partly onscreen while the spanks land offscreen.

„Victor and Abby defend a woman accused of murdering her baby. Becker's client makes some astounding accusations against her husband, a kiddie-show TV host, concerning the family pig.“
These are two of the storylines from this episode, the second one reflects in the title’s wordplay „pigmalion“ ( „Pygmalion“ from Shaw referring to the Kiddie Show and „pig“ referring to the animal mentioned); the first one provides the context for the spanking: When the accused mother gets extremely nervous waiting for her judgment and her daughter gets extremely nerving, because waiting bores her, several harsh smacks are given.

PROBABLE IDENTIFICATION "LADDIE (1940)"?

The „PRIMROSE PATH“ clip brought me, as I think, close to identify a well known but unnamed still. I had already posted it here, but to the file name had connected it with the 1928 movie „MOTHER KNOWS BEST“. That might very well be wrong. The Face of child actress Joan Carroll in a still from another film reminded me of something…

If the spankee from that still in question would be Joan Carroll, and there seems to be at least a resemblance, and if that spanker would be Martha O‘ Driscoll,and there seems to be a good resemblance there too, then it would bring us directly to the only film in which both of them starred:

LADDIE (1940)
Directed by Jack Hively.
Based on a novel by Gene Stratton-Porter, that was filmed at least three times.

Interestingly BostnBobs List of Spankings In Mainstream Movies contains rudimentary information on a spanking from that film, involving Martha O’Driscoll.

I quote the list:

„ ? Laddie (1940) ?, Martha O'Driscoll [?]“

That does not necessary mean that Martha O’Driscoll is the spankee….could very well be vice versa.

If the spanking still really would be from „Laddie (1940)“ than this would have the sad consequence that we would not have access to that film. There os no DVD (and therefore no DVDrip uploaded) there is no VHS (and therefore no VHSrip uploaded) and there seem to be no clips at all, so unless somebody uploads a TV rip, which very rarely happens, there is no chance in ever finding out more. On the other side: With „AND SO THEY WERE MARRIED“ it happened.

Let’s have an eye on usenet , I say.

And if the spanking still really should be from „Laddie (1940)“ than it does also not necessarily mean, that there is such a scene in the movie. It could be just a publicity still. On the other hand, the only child star that got spanking stills or Lobbycards without having such a scene in the films, is Shirley Temple.
So maybe…..?
