THE UNDER - PUP (1939)

NEW EVIDENCE supports the existence of spanking scene in that movie, slthough it seems to have been cut for the DVD version.

While researching for another movie I stumbled upon a line in a plot summary on turner classic movies. The line says:

Mr. Layton, learning the truth about his daughter's behavour, gives Cecelia a well-deserved spanking

The summary was about a movie called „The Under-Pup“ from 1939, a musical picture designed for rising child star Gloria Jean. But another child actress stole the show and got the attention of John Ford: Shirley Mills, who played the role of Cecelia

This would make the

Here is the original summary:

An essay on trees wins Pip-Emma Binns, a daughter of the New York tenements, a trip to the summer retreat of the Penguins, an exclusive girls's camp headed by the snobby Cecelia Layton and sponsored by the icy spinster Miss Thornton and her assistant, Priscilla Adams. Pip-Emma's eccentric family drives to the train station in their WPA truck to bid her farewell, thus alienating her from all the girls except Janet Cooper, who befriends Pip-Emma on the train to camp. At camp, Cecelia and Letty Lou become Pip-Emma's tormentors, but Priscilla and her boyfriend Denis, the camp's athletic director, become her allies. Although Pip-Emma tames the wild sons of Tolio, the camp's handyman, the camp itself is a disappointment to her because she must make her own bed and perform other chores that are part of her routine at home. The snootiness of the Penguins and their refusal to include her in their activities also add to the little girl's unhappiness. However, Pip-Emma melts the icy reserve of Miss Thornton, and when Cecelia and the others vote to send her home, the sponsor vetoes the order. Discovering that her friend Janet has an unhappy home life, Pip-Emma writes Grandpa to prevent the divorce of Janet's parents by telling them that their daughter is ill. The Coopers rush to the camp, where they are treated by the sight of Janet winning a swimming race, all due to Pip-Emma's coaching. Meanwhile, Cecelia's father arrives at camp in response to his daughter's charge that Pip-Emma is abusing her. At these accusations, Pip-Emma tearfully leaves the camp, but Grandpa forces her to return, and Mr. Layton, learning the truth about his daughter's behavour, gives Cecelia a well-deserved spanking. Pip-Emma is then accepted by the other girls as a full-fledged Penguin and awarded a uniform.

As it turned out, that the DVD version of that film does not contain a spanking scene. It is merely a vague, verbally implied spanking (one line of text). Nevertheless here is the clip:

Here is the testominy of a contributor called Sweetspot wo vividly remembers the scene: "The spanking scene must have been cut out of the version you have. I remember that the girl is spanked over her dad's lap in a scene that is all to briefly on screen when several of the cast open a door and see dad spanking daughter."

All in the Family was an American situation comedy that was originally broadcast on the CBS television network from  1971 to 1979.

Produced by Norman Lear, it was based on the British television comedy series Till Death Us Do Part. The show broke ground in its depiction of issues previously considered unsuitable for U.S. network television comedy, such as racism, homosexuality, women's liberation, etc.

Danielle Brisebois played Edith's 9-year old niece, Stephanie Mills. The Bunkers take her in after the child's father, Floyd Mills, abandons her on their doorstep in 1978 after Mike and Gloria moved to California at the end of the previous season.

Young Stephanie gets caught stealing at school and as a result almost ends up over Archie Bunkers knee, rescued, in last minute, from a spanking.

“Dong Poo Dee” is the story about Kom a young girl who grew up with her mother who has amnesia. The two are supported by Kru (Teacher) Sompon who is the owner of a school. Kae faints on the day that Kru Som Poo throws a party for his older brother. She meets Pitroongplai and remembers everything. Kae entrusts Kom in his hands before she dies. Once they are done with his funeral Pit takes Kom to Krung Thep (Bangkok) and entrusts her with a friend name Rangsan Rathanadaychagon to take care of and give her an education equal to his daughters Ratirot and Podjanee, but in truth Rangsan and Bugha his wife doesn’t like Kom and treats her as a servant.

In these two scenes, that are directly follwong each other, Kom gets spanked two times for, as it seems, having unintentionally injured another girls (if her fault at all). She receives a spanking by hand and later with a cane from two diffrent women.

XICA DA SILVA (1996) CHAPTER 100 M/f and F/f, otk, s

In 1996, the now defunct TV station Rede Manchete successfully adapted the film plot of “Xica Da Silva” from 1976 to the telenovela format, directed by Walter Avancini, written by Walcyr Carrasco and starring Taís Araújo as the title character. This telenovela marked the first time an Afro-Brazilian actress played the lead role on a TV show. In 2005, SBT re-aired Xica da Silva.


It is a romanticized retelling of the true story of Chica da Silva, an 18th century African slave in the state of Minas Gerais, who attracts the attention of João Fernandes de Oliveira, a Portuguese sent by Lisbon with the Crown's exclusive contract for mining diamonds, and eventually becomes his lover.


A part of the series deals with the family of town mayer Capitano Gonçalo. His two daughters Ana and Isabel regurlarly get into mischief of different sorts, which earns them regular on – screen spankings!

The cirscumstances of this spanking are not entirely clear due to the language barrier.

From the 2010 Remake of  the Henry Hathaway film from 1969 (based on a novel by Charles Portis)

Following the murder of her father by hired hand Tom Chaney, 14-year-old farm girl Mattie Ross sets out to capture the killer. To aid her, she hires the toughest U.S. marshal she can find, a man with "true grit," Reuben J. "Rooster" Cogburn. Mattie insists on accompanying Cogburn, whose drinking, sloth, and generally reprobate character do not augment her faith in him. Against his wishes, she joins him in his trek into the Indian Nations in search of Chaney. They are joined by Texas Ranger LaBoeuf, who wants Chaney for his own purposes. The unlikely trio find danger and surprises on the journey, and each has his or her "grit" tested.

Early in the movie Mattie is already threatened with a spanking ("licking") be LeBoeuf:

In the spanking scene above, LeBoeuf has finally enough from what he considers to be a saucy brat, interfering with men's dutys, and spanks her in presence of Rooster Cogburn. The Screenplay writes:
