The scene
opens with a little girl at a table, who, instead of attending to her lesson,
is trying what she can do with a paper and scissors. The pedagogue, coming in,
observing her inattention, admonishes her for the neglect of her studies,
commands her to put up the paper and take up her book, which she does until his
back is turned. His exit is the cause of the evolution of the usual child
satire of placing the thumb to the nose and outspreading the fingers. As soon
as she is certain that the coast is clear she commences her paper antics, and
from the paper in front of her cuts out a mitre of an archbishop, which she
places upon her head, and then, quickly forming a stole, she imitates the
gesticulations of an archbishop while blessing his flock. Disbanding this
costume, she cuts out another to represent a clerk of the justices, and looks
very comical as she starts to write down the charges as the clerk would do.
Tiring of this, she next produces a chapeau of an admiral, and forming a
miniature ship out of another piece of paper, she looks the part to perfection.
Cutting out a plume, she fixes it on the admiral's chapeau and makes a very
good imitation of a field marshal. This not being quite complete, she takes up
a box and empties on to the table a guard of toy soldiers, which immediately
follow into line, and then, taking up the baton, she directs her little army of
soldiers in a very comical fashion. Then with one fell sweep of her baton she
clears the table of the soldiers. Scissors and paper again come into active
use, and she then forms a clown. She next essays the part of a grandmother's
cap; then, with the spectacles on her nose and knitting in hand, she looks the
part to perfection. From the grandmother, she rapidly changes into a nun, and
from this into a barrister, and argues her case with great force and point. She
now essays a difficult task, and the better to perform this, she turns her back
on the audience, and on turning her face once more towards them, she looks the
embodiment of the illustrious Napoleon. Like him, she finds this great
attempt is her last, for the pedagogue coming in at this moment, when the
spirit of Napoleon is the strongest, he takes her on his knee and gives her a
spanking.

THOSE KIDS AND CUPID (1915 SHORT FILM)
The official description states:
Ray arrives at his
sweetheart's home fortified with a large box of candy. Billie, the girl, hears
him coming, and the kid sister, ever on the alert, announces the arrival of
sister's beau. Ray comes in and is bashful in the presence of the family.
Thinking to break the ice, he offers the box of candy, which is passed around.
Meanwhile, the kid sister has called in a neighbor's kid and the two come in
just in time to see the box making its rounds. There is a wild scramble and
they make a dent in the candy. Father at once takes his kid to task and gives
her a spanking. All adjourn to the parlor, while Ray and his girl play to
fool the old folks, they succeed in getting many stolen caresses under the
noise of the music. Finally father decides it is time for him and his wife to
turn in and, sending the neighbor's kid home, takes his own upstairs. Before
leaving he admonishes the caller that "office hours" are up at eleven
o'clock. The kids get together again, and, sore because they got spanked for
stealing the candy, decide to play a trick on the caller. They take the
silverware from the room and fill Ray's overcoat pockets. Ray and his girl,
left alone, proceed to make love The kids in the neighborhood are a mischievous
lot and they tie the doorknobs of all the doors. The kids make a noise in tying
the door of Billie's home, and father asks Billie if Ray is leaving. She says
he has gone, and when father has returned to bed Billie and Ray sneak to the
sofa, and in trying to keep quiet, both fall asleep. When the cuckoo clock
makes a terrific noise and strikes two, they awake. Father hears them and
Billie explains she had fallen asleep. Ray tries to sneak out, but the door
resists his efforts to open and father thinks he is a burglar. When dad gets
his old muzzle loader into action there is some fast action, and Ray breaks out
at last but is pursued by the old man. Just as the boy congratulates himself
upon his lucky escape he is taken in by a cop and rushed to the station where
the silverware is found on him. He is arrested. Next morning the silver is
missed and father calls the station. The sergeant informs him that they have
both the thief and the silver, and asks him to come to claim his goods. The
kids arrive at this time and confess their trick. When father and the girl
arrive at the jail. Ray gladly promises he will never stay out late again, so
father secures his release.
NORA DECLARES WAR (1917 SHORT FILM)
Due to the description below and the fact the child actresses are listed within the cast this film is suspected to contain a relevant scene:
Nora, an Irish cook,
is imbued with the idea that she is terribly abused. All the members of the
household order her around and the children play pranks which anger her. Her
back is turned for a few minutes and the children pepper the soup which she is
about to serve to the head of the house, a grouchy old man. It is so strong
with pepper that he decides to get after Nora. Just as he is about to chastise
Nora, the iceman enters and, thinking that he is crazy, forces a piece of ice
into his mouth. Next door Bridget reigns supreme, and Nora cannot understand
it. Bridget discloses her methods and Nora decides to try them out. She routs
the old man from the kitchen, spanks the children, and everyone in general
begins to feel her temper. After getting the members of the household under her
control she dresses and informs them that it is her afternoon off. She and
Bridget depart to enjoy a few hours of recreation, which is something Nora has
not done for some time
PARTED ON THEIR HONEYMOON (1909 SHORT FILM)
The official description reads like this:
They found
themselves in love by the seashore, the pounding of the surf was the
accompaniment to Cupid's murmurings. Fresh, fragrant, strong grew their love.
Communion over the ice cream at a social function increased the ardor and then
at last, at last they stood before one garbed in the cloth and listened raptly
to the words of the ceremony, responding eagerly to the questions. But the
words of the ceremony had scarce echoed off to space ere fate, lusty and
vigorous, stepped between and parted them. Not for long did fate stand between
them, however. With lover's cunning they met again and soon, behind a trusty
steed, they were speeding to the seclusion, peace and safety of that lover's
Elysium, a wilderness. Roads ended, they were lost. A trusted friend who had
accompanied them stole away during the night as they slumbered 'midst leaves
and grass, a trusted friend, but one who betrayed. As they dreamt sweet dreams
this friend most foul brought their pursuers to them and that honeymoon of
ethereal bliss ended in resounding spanks. Spanks, certainly. The elopers were
blessed eight years each of life and their mammas spanked them with right good
will for their childish prank. It is a pretty tale, fanciful, graceful and
pleasing. Writ in childhood with a melodramatic atmosphere and a film that is
not only different, but a genuine delight. The marriage was a humorous idea of
their mothers at a birthday party given by the little girl, the preacher was a
lad of six attired in ministerial garments. It was amusing until the children
took the thing seriously, but to the spectators the entire story is
entertaining from start to finish the elopement in a cart drawn by a goat with
a dog as companion especially so.
BINGLES MENDS THE CLOCK (1913 SHORT FILM)
There is a suspicion of a relevant scene from this film, due the description below, and because child actresses are mentioned in the cast.
Saturday,
being a half-holiday, Bingles volunteers to help Mrs. Bingles with the
housework. She sends him to the clock-maker's with a clock that she wants
repaired, Bingles thinks that the clock maker's charge is too high and brings
the clock back again. He will mend it himself. His troubles soon begin. After
he has taken the clock to pieces he finds that he needs some machine oil. On
the way to the hardware store he meets some friends, who are celebrating, and
they persuade Bingles to lubricate himself as well as the clock. Finally he
gets away from them and goes home again. By the time he gets there he is
feeling rather quarrelsome, and when he finds that the children have been
trying their hands at clock-mending, he makes some rude remarks. He spanks
all the children and then turns them and his wife out of the room. She,
thinking him a brute, decides to go back again to home and mother. Dressing the
children in their best, she leaves the house with her wailing family, placing
on the table a note for her husband, telling him where she has gone. Bingles
finds most of the clock works and puts them together. Then, hanging the clock
on the wall, he looks at his watch. It is supper time and he is hungry. Going
in search of his wife he finds her note and is plunged into despair. Supper or
no supper, he decides to start the clock. Putting it to the right time, he sets
the pendulum moving. Bingles begins to doubt his sanity. That clock certainly
does go. It goes at double express speed backwards, from 6 p. m. today to 5 a.
m. yesterday in five minutes. He looks at it upside down, sideways and several
other ways, but he cannot make head or tail of the matter. Making up his mind
to give the clock-maker a job, he decides to fetch his wife home to cook
supper. No more economy for Bingles.
CATCHING THAT BURGLAR (1916 SHORT FILM)
The official description reads like this:
Ethel was to be married and father had figured the expense down to the
last cent and really couldn't see how he was to meet it. Those things didn't
bother son any and he and his chum helped themselves plentifully to wines and
other good things, and were only restrained after father had kicked them out of
the kitchen. Uncle John had arrived for the wedding and was temporarily staying
away from his club and card games. About this time a burglar scare is started
in the neighborhood and the family becomes worried about the wedding presents.
George, the son, and Billie, the sister of the bride-to-be, decide to use a
novel burglar alarm and go to a nearby store, where they purchase a quantity of
flypaper. This they distribute around the house and especially around the
wedding presents. Uncle John had wind of a very interesting card game, and
while pretending to retire early, in reality he sneaks away to the club. Ethel
and Billie retire and all seems peaceful. Uncle John, returning from the club,
is held up and his watch, to which was attached his keys, taken by the robber.
Rather than disturb the household, Uncle John gains admittance through the
window and becomes helplessly entangled in the fly paper. His efforts to
release himself arouse George, who, gun in hands, descends the stairs,
encountering much flypaper on the way. In the dining room he encounters Uncle
John, whom he supposes to be a burglar, and a fight ensues. The noise arouses
father, mother, Billie and Ethel, who descend to the dining room. A policeman
is attracted and arrives in time to prevent any tragedy. When Uncle John is
finally relieved of his fly paper mask, the two youthful geniuses, Billie and
George, are severely spanked.
LOST IN A FOLDING BED (1909 SHORT FILM)
Official description:
A man searching for a furnished mom observes a sign on a house and rings
the doorbell. A woman answers, her little child tagging behind. The man is
shown the room, in which there is a folding bed. The woman lowers it down, and,
while her prospective boarder is haggling over the price, the child jumps on
the bed and it closes up, locking her inside. No arrangement can be made. The
man leaves the house, and, in coming down the steps, is accosted by another man
carrying a bag. It contains a dog, which the owner wishes to rid himself of,
and offers a dollar, which is readily accepted. As the man starts on his way an
old woman looks after his suspiciously, runs into the furnished room house,
where the mother is busy sewing. The old lady tells her story and an immediate
search is made for the child. Not being able to find the child, the two women
start for the police station and an officer is sent to assist them. The man with
the bag is soon sighted and a chase follows. In which the officer finally
catches up with the supposed kidnapper. The bag is opened and a dog falls out.
The crowd, which has been attracted, laughs at the cop, who walks off in
disgust. The officer and women return to the house and the policeman looks
about, goes into the bedroom, lets down the folding bed and finds the lost
youngster. The mother lings her child for a moment, then turns her across her
knee and administers a good spanking.
LUX VIDEO THEATRE: SHE MARRIED HER BOSS, S06 E37 (1956)
In this anthology series of the 50ies, the 1935 family comedy with Claudette Colbert and Edith Fellows (http://villafiorita.blogspot.com/2010/07/she-married-her-boss-1935-ff-hairbrush.html ) is featured as a remake. There is a good chance that the remake has a spanking too, and nobody knows if it is offscreen this time, since live television spankings in the 50ies were often explicit.
As of now, I could not find the clip yet.
The spanker this time should be Jan Sterling, the spankee should be Reba Waters. The episode was directed by Earl Eby
CORONATION STREET (1961), S02 E56 M/f, otk
A while ago Paul (thanks a lot) wrote to me,
with this request:
“I wanted to ask a question about a
spanking from a British soap I'd love to see. It's from Coronation Street
in 1961 where Lucille Hewitt was spanked otk by her father, apparently in an
episode filmed as live. Have you heard of it? I believe that it was
repeated on a British cable channel a few years ago, so it is possible
that someone has it.”
I could easily identify it. It is Episode
56, Season 02 (the 63rd episode in general) broadcasted on 19th
July 1961. The official scene description reads like this:
Lucille isn't glad she's passed her
11-plus because none of her friends are going to the Grammar School. She
deliberately writes a bad essay about it, annoying Harry with her cheek and he
threatens her with a smacking. Elsie is getting annoyed with Arthur's
back-handed comments. Dot calls on Elsie, upset that she's had a row with
Walter. Elsie is surprised when Walter Fletcher calls on her, offering to take
her out that night. He invites Dot to tag along. Ena donates hairnets to Minnie
and Albert's jumble sale collection. Brian Foley notices that Esther has had
her hair done and offers to take her out. Elsie gets Dot to promise not to
leave her alone with Walter. He is taken aback when he finds that she has a
grandson. Lucille continues to complain about going to Grammar School. When she
tears up her English book, Harry spanks her over his knee

A HAPPY HOME (1911)
This production, produced by Nordisk Film Kompagni,
and then imported by Great Northern under the above title, could not be found
yet, mostly because its original title is not yet determined. But the description is very interesting:
“It was
house-cleaning day when this picture was taken. A very human little boy and
girl—terrible children—help mother and the hired girl till they are spanked and
put into another room, where
they get
into all kinds of mischief. It surely is a lively picture.”
Any
information or link the film is very welcome!
JIMMY ELOPES (1911)
This movie, which in its original form is obviously a French production
from Gaumont , probably out of Louis Feuillade’s “Bébé” serial (most possibly Bébé fait une fugue -„Jimmie’s Midnight flight“ or “Bébé candidat
au mariage“), could
not be found yet, nor could the original title be positively identified.
Nevertheless this somewhat shortened movie review from 1911 sounds VERY
promising:
Reviewed
by Jas. S. McQuade.
Among
George Kleine's latest importations is a mirthful comedy, of full reel length,
entitled "Jimmie Elopes." The delight which this talented boy actor
has created in the minds of hundreds of thousands of picture lovers has
endeared him to as many hearts, and his latest escapade will doubtless be
viewed by many through eyes that will brim with tears of laughter […] The tiny
girl tot, who casts her lot with him in the early morning flight from home,
will occupy a prominent place in the estimation of all who view the film. She is
a dainty little Miss, with a naive, clinging tenderness at times, that wreathes
one's face in smiles; but,on occasion, she can assume an imperious air and
stand unmoved by the most urgent entreaties of her companion […] Jimmie and Alice are next door neighbors.
Alice is motherless and lives, without brother or sister, to relieve the
monotony of home life, with a grouchy father. Jimmie is blessed with a father
and mother, who look on him as the apple of their eyes. The sharp eyes of
Jimmie soon discover the sadness of the life of little Alice, and at times he
persuades his mother to invite her as a guest. One morning the father of Alice
is particularly unkind, and orders her to sweep the rooms and hallway, shaking
her roughly as he gives the command. Jimmie learns of it and immediately
invites her to have breakfast with him. In the meantime the father returns and
flies into a rage on finding that his instructions have not been obeyed. He is still
more angry when he discovers that Alice is the guest of his neighbors, and
there is a scene between him and the mother of Jimmie, after which the boy is
admonished to keep away from Alice. But Jimmie is of sterner mould and, at the first
opportunity, he seeks Alice, who acquaints him with her woes, among the
latter being a sound spanking, administeredwith unspairing hand.”

information or link the film is very welcome!
THE PILLOW FIGHT NO 2 (1905)
This short comedy from AM&B is not to be confused with the 1896 film
over a similar name. The description says:
Two beds joined together in a L- Shape are seen
against a brick wall. Kneeling at the edge of the beds are four little girls
saying their prayers and being listened to by a woman dressed as a governess.
The children are helped into bed and the woman leaves. As soon as the children
feel, they are really alone, they begin throwing pillows at each other. One of
the pillows rips, filling the air and surrounding area with feathers. The
governess returns and spanks one of the naughty children as the picture ends.
Any information
or link the film is very welcome!
THE COUNTRY SCHOOLMASTER (1906)
The Biograph Bulletin No. 3232, an American Mutoscope Production with a
length of presumably 694 feet length, is known to us only via a snippet view
from the book “Biograph bulletins, 1896-1908” by Kemp R. Niver from 1971. There it
reads:
“. ... his sister make a boll for the window,
climb out and run, pursued by the irate schoolmaster, who catches them at the
door of their home, where mother joins him in administering a sound spanking.”
I could not find the film yet, but If anyone has any ideas, please let
me know.
LE SYNDICAT DES FESSÉS (1920)
This french short comedy from the silent movie
era, directed by Adrien Caillard, based presumably on the children’s book of
the same title by Alfred Machard, has one of the most promising summaries I
ever read:
Nestor Pancucule takes his son to an union meeting. He
places him next to the stove and warns him not to touch the pipe. In his
enthusiasm, the son breaks the pipe and ashes fill the room. Nestor spanks his
son. When they get home, the boy sees the super intendant spanking Trinité
Thélémaque. Trinité has an idea: kids should create a spanking union! They meet
at night in a basement. One of them rats them out and all parents come get
them! In spite of Trinité's cries: "Don't touch us, we're a union",
everyone gets spanked
The film is listed in ancient catalogues as no 8537 from Visio Film for
Pathé France. The main spankees should be Maurice Touze (as Nestor) and Simone
Genevois (as Trinité) , but there should be as well, as the cataloge says, “37
actors between one and 12 years old”.
I could not find the film yet, but If anyone has any ideas, please let
me know.
HINT FROOM A BOOK ON AN UNKNOWN PAKISTAN MOVIE
Google Books provides us with a snippet from the book “Representations of Gender in Prime-time Television: A Textual Analysis of Drama Series of Pakistan Television” by Saleha Suleman. The publication seems to be from the University Of Wisconsin, 1990. The Snippet says about a certain TV series or movie :
…five-year-old daughter visits Rani and gets a
doll from her, she not only spanks her
daughter, but crushes the doll and bluntly says that, "It's better
to die than visit the disgraced Rani." Her behavior reveals how she
follows the majority's opinion ...
Since we only have that snippet I was not able about which TV series or
movie the author is talking, but If anyone has any ideas, please let me know.
UNKNOWN GREEK MOVIE
The following picture on a site
about Greek television at Cyprus intrigued me:
The caption read: “Yes, that is a repeat of a 1990s TV drama
that sees a man spanking a teenage girl while an old, stereotypically dressed
Greek woman cooks in the kitchen. But no, I have no idea why there is a
motorbike parked in their front”
I asked the site’s author through a
comment if he could identify the TV show. He answered:
“Dear God - you
don't want to watch it, do you?
Anyway,
unfortunately not. It was on Ρικ Σατ on a Sunday and you can see the schedule here,http://www.riknews.com.cy/inde... but there's nothing obvious that I can see on
the list, which makes me think it's finished and something else is airing now.
At least, I think it's mighty unlikely it was Θεατρικό Έργο“
Until today I could not identify
from which TV production the photo originates from, but I anyone has any ideas
– please write me!

POSSIBLE VINCENT PRICE SPANKING (50ies TELEVISION?)
On A Forum regarding our topic, I Found this very intriguing description of an yet unknown television episode. It was given by a contributor named Dustin Turnmyre:
"Well, for instance, I remember an episode
starring (I think) Vincent Price
in which he has a daughter who is auditioning for a part for a movie or
perhaps a theatrical production. The scene opens in an agent's office.
Price demonstrates her talent by telling her a joke at which time she
begins crying. He then spanks her and she breaks out in gales of
laughter. He brags to the agent at her ability to control her performance
under any circumstance.
After audtioning, they are outside in a street which is obviously in
a backlot. The father is struck by an out-of-control speeding vehicle.
Dying, and from his POV, he sees the daughter looking down at him.
As his eyes dim, the last thing he sees before death overtakes him
is his daughter laughing uncontrollably.
As yet, no one I know has any knowledge of this episode and I can
find no reference to it. It may have been on a show like Alcoa Presents???"

I have to add that this description nowhere mentions the AGE of the spankee, just leads you to believe its a child. Therefore it might turn out as an intersting clip, just not fitting for villafiorita.
If anybody has any clue or hint, please write to me.
SOWJET MOVIE WITH BARE BOTTOM SMACKING
This is a tough one:
On a russian forum about mainstream movie spankings, I found this entry (I translated it into english with google translator therefore the wrong grammar), written by Nina Romanova.
"And anybody remember the Soviet film there little girl
burned in a stove letters from the front father and my mother sobbing pulls off
her panties and quickly slaps on the ass."
I wrote to her, asking for the title, but I got no response. If anybody has any clue or hint to the title of that film, please write me.
