    It's actually quite common in that period of time in Asia for the mother to hold the kid while the father do the spanking. This is one of the series adapted by a famous Chinese author 瓊瑤's books. She writes a lot of little girls getting spanked in her stories. The little girl actress that played the spankee in this clip actually got spanked few years later at least once more, in a different series by the same author on the bare, quite a few strokes too.
