This seems to be one of aseries of Andrews Sisters films of the 40ies, in all of them appears the chld caracter "tagalong" played by Susan Levine. Why she sings "deep in the heart of texas" here after receiving several slaps remains unsolved.

    Because the slaps she receives are in rhythm to the clapping part of the song "Deep in the heart of Texas".

    For example:
    The stars at night, are big and bright (clap clap clap clap), deep in the heart of Texas.
