Ellie Mae lives on Primrose Hill with her good-hearted and fancy free mother, her drunken father, her younger sister and a mean-spirited grandmother. The Hill is not a good part of town, however. When she meets and falls for a hard-working man, they marry and she hides her past from him. When he discovers the truth it jeopardizes their marriage.

But finally he decides to clean up in her family, which he does in the final scene. That includes actually swatting her little sister Honeybell back to her bed, after she tries to attack him, and demanding that she will be sent to school again.

Based on a short story by Marcel Ayme: A shy man working for the tax administration suddenly - after a shrink told him, there would be no walls limiting his life – discovers that he can literally go through walls, what drastically changes his whole existence…

In the trailer here there is cute one smacker, when a mother sends her girl to school, much of the effect comes from the fact that the little girl actually assumes the position for that smacking.

Note: In 1958 the same director directed Heinz Rühmann in the masterful Dürrenmatt adaptation „It Happened in Broad Daylight / Es geschah am hellichten Tag“ which happens to be the original version of Sean Penn’s later „The Pledge“. There Anita von Ow also played alongside Rühmann, then as the innocent bait for serial child murderer Gert Fröbe.

Patty Bergen is a teenager in a Jewish family living in the American South during World War II. Patty feels like an outcast even in her own family and is unable to understand why her father can't seem to love her. Her town eventually becomes host to a prisoner of war camp. A young german soldier escapes from this camp, and Patty finds him hiding in her secret places in the woods outside of town. After getting to know him she ends up harboring him from his captors, and, in the way of many adolescents, falls in love with him.

In this scene, she gets belted by her irascible father on the lawn in front of her house, for having met a young boy from a so called „white trash family“. During the spanking, the hidden prisoner, Anton, shows up in order to save her, but Patty sends him back, taking the punishment…

THE FIBBER MCGEE SPANKING

A long time ago I stumbled across this very old post at the "spanking in movies and TV" yahoo group, which at thtat time didn't exist anymore already. It's post number 309 nine. It says:

The hints in this post are quite clear, and researc seemed easy since Jim Jordan who played "Fibber MCGee" only starred in four movies;

1. Heavenly Days (1944)
2. Here We Go Again (1942)
3. Look Who's Laughing (1941)
4. This Way Please (1937)

But all four were extremely rare. Then, over a couple of months all four turned up on "usenet". I checked all of them - there is no such scene in none of those frour movies. Maybe edited out for DVD release?
Or, what seems more probable, did the woman who wrote that post maybe mix it up, or did not get it right then? What if the host only mentioned Fibber McGee, but not directly referring to the movie? That would lead to films with the great Gildersleeve and Edgar Bergen who once starred with Jim Jordan (as McGee) in one of those four films.

Nevertheless, due to the fact that the memory in the original post seems to be very vivid and elaborate and partly vague, as memories are, I still think it's real and such a clip exists (in some other 40ies ilm), and imagination just played a trick o that woman by placing it wrongly.

THE BATTLE IN THE VILLA FIORITA - THE BOOK (1963)

This is the spanking scene as depticted in the novel by Rumer Godden. I found the german version of that quite rare book and took the liberty to retranslated it to English. I apologize, if I made mistakes.

Because of that, she so heavily bounced against the spoon, that she opened her mouth. The spoon went in. When Rob withdrew it empty, he breathed heavily. „Now swallow it“
Pia looked at him with her little black eyes and spat out the tagliatelle. Like in everything she did, she was also straightforward and direct in her spitting, and the noodles landed on the tablecloth creating a patch of tomato juice and gravy. Caddie let out a little fearful cry, and Rob gave in to his rage.
He pulled Pia from the chair and the next moment she was lying across his knees. He pulled back her skirt, so the small bottom became visible in panties of snow white lace.“ You asked for it. Now you shall have it!“ he said and gave her a sound spanking in front of everybody’s eyes.
Hugh and Caddie were shocked so much, they could not speak, Fanny went pale even to her lips and only Giulietta watched cheerfully, as if this would be an absolutely commonplace procedure. Finally the clapping of the spanks stopped and Rob raised Pia from his mighty knees.
„Well – are you going to eat it now?“ But Pia, whose face was again distorted in a way that made her look like an ugly monkey, had rushed to the stairs. On the third step she stopped and poured a flood of swearings over Rob. Since she cursed in Italian, the others could not understand her, but they heard the startled gasp that Giulietta made.
„Vigliacco, cattivo, ti odio.“
„No! No! Santo Cielo!“ Giulietta shouted and run to Pia to cover her mouth with her hand, but Pia shook her off.
„Mostro, non te posso vedere“ Here face had blushed in a strange way, almost as if the spankings would have hit her that place; her cambric blouse was disarranged, her hair looked wild, but she had not shed one tear. „Cattivo, vigliacco!“ Then she turned to Fanny: „Anche te, strega!“

Please not that the the part of the scene that follows in the movie, where debbie inspects the well spanked bottom of Donna (offscreen of course) does not take place in the book. It was an invention of screenwriter (and dirctor) Delmer Daves.

STILLS FROM UNKOWN MOVIES - INFO WANTED

All this three pictures, obviously derived from three different origins, have one thing in common: There is no information about then, except that they are all stills from movies or TV, and in only one occasion it seems to be sure that the still actually depicts a girl.
I am searching for answers to the following questions: a) from which film is each photo? b) does each photo show a girl? c) Does each of those films contain a spanking scene?

Any information on the movies these stills are from is warmly appreciated.

THE NEON CEILING (1971) M/f, bend over, t, w

This rare, but, as far as critics are concerned, remarkeable TV movie, which is actually a sort of three-character-play, starring Lee Grant, Gig Young and Denise Nickerson (of "Willie Wonka" Fame as Violet Beauregarde) contains this spanking scene, in which Denis Nickerson gets several hard slaps from Gig Young for disrespecting him first and then provoking him by plopping a chewing gum.

JOHNNY DOESN'T LIVE HERE ANYMORE (1944)

According to bostnbob's list of spanking scenes in mainstream movies, this early Robert Mitchum vehicle should contain a double spanking scene. The Summarys I read seem to suggest that this scene can only take place in the epilogue of the film.

Since that film had the re-issue title "AND SO THEY WERE MARRIED" it's also possible that the original report was a mix up.

TEXAS JOHN SLAUGHTER: GERONIMO'S REVENGE (1960) M/f, otk, s, w

This segment from the TV series anthology "Walt Disney's Wonderful World of Color" (or, earlier, "Disneyland") is said to contain a spanking scene.

The spankingart.wiki says:

"Geronimo's Revenge" was the title of an episode (or possibly of a two-episode program) from Disney's TV Series Tales of Texas John Slaughter. This episode seems to have later been shown as a separate feature. An early scene was the father coming home to wife and two young, possibly pre-adolescent children. In the spanking sequence the mother asks the daughter to tell her father what she has done. The little girl refuses and the mother tells him that she's taken some scissors and cut up some dress material. At this point the daughter calls her mother a "Tell-Tale Tit" which the father responds to by grabbing her, putting her across his knee, and spanking her bottom several times. She then runs off to her room crying.

And I found even another description referring to the same scene:

This short movie based on the famous comic strips by Jimmy Hatlo, about the brat from title, is reported to contain a spanking, which seems plausible due to the fact that that Little Iodine is said to be the most spanked girl in the comics genre.

Here Celia gets woke up by her angry father, who confronts her with a cruel practical joke she had played on another girl, envolving voodoo – like puppets. When she confesses, her father heavily belts her.

Note that Rebecca Smart played was also the leading child actress in "THE SHIRALEE", before she starred in CELIA. So she played two spanking related scenes in each of those two movies.

In this first scene, a fight between children has escalated and therefore the police has been called. The polimen sends all kids away except two boys, whose parents are known as communists. Celia also stays to defend them. All three are being taken to the police station, where the boys get spanked (enterily offscreen) for no apparent reason, since they did not start the fight that escalated; when thei boys mother, Alice, a friend of celias family arrives there,, Celia embraces her but gets a very firm – single – smack herself.

In this SECOND scene, little Buster (Rebecca Smart) creates havoc while several men try to brand cattle, as a result one of the men gets hurt, so Macauly takes her over his knee and spanks her.

HANA NO ASUKA -GUMI f/f, over chair, s, w

This is from a Japanese 1988 series Hana no Asuka-Gumi, which is based on a manga.

In that interesting clip there seems to be a rivalry battle between two child gangs. The female leader of the one gang, takes a well-dressed girl from the other gang, puts her over a chair and spanks her firmly (but obviously staged) on the seat of her skirt. One of the witnesses starts to enjoy it.
