Si Pan Din is based upon the famous moving drama work by M R Kukrit Pramoj, one of the most famous Thai writers (one of great Thai writer in my mind). 

The tale in lakorn " Si Pan Din" traces the life of Phloi,who started life as a lady in waiting at the inner court of the Grand Palace. In her lifetime, Phloi saw economic and social changes, coups, political turmoil, abdication and tragedy, covering the reigns of four Chakri Kings in the Bangkok era.

In this scene  a fight between two girls takes place, that is interrupted by the adults. Only one of the girls gets caned on her bottom while the other one is watching.

In the end, though, her mother gives birth to twin boys, Petr and Pavel. And Kačka really hates that. Instead of helping her mom, she pouts and is naughty. And since everyone is now focused on the babies, she feels neglected and she convinces herself that she is actually not her parents' child, which leads to more conflicts and trouble.

Akkordeon player Pepik and flower shop assistant Emmie are the main characters in this touching story about the solidarity between working class people in a czech suburb. The film was an entry in a film competition with the given topic "victory". It was the feature film debut of the then film student Ladislav Brom, a former dancer and opera singer, who had appeared in several films.

In the scene in question a little girl floods the bathroom in is caught in the act. An older woman, probably a housekeeper, grabs her, in front of witnesses, lifts her skirt and delivers some stinging smacks to the girl bottom.

The Imaginary Invalid (French: Le malade imaginaire) is a 1673 three-act comédie-ballet by the French playwright (and actor) Molière with dance sequences and musical interludes by Marc-Antoine Charpentier. It was originally choreographed by Pierre Beauchamp. Le malade imaginaire would turn out to be his last work. Ironically he collapsed during his fourth performance as Argan on 17 February and died soon after.

In this wildly funny farce, about the hypochondriac  Argan, there is a scene near the end of the second act, when Argan questions his younger daughter Louison, who works as sort of a family spy for him, knowing that she betrayed and lied to him. When she goes on lying he chastises her with a martinet, but she stops the spanking by faking - extremely unconvincingly, her death.

This version is one of the few french ones, where Louison is actually played by a young girl.

In this unknown production, it seems that the girls mother has divorced her father and lives with another man. 

The very scene depicts a situation when the girls father comes, to take her for the weekend. But after an argument in the house, the girl runs off into the street uncontrollably, almost causing an accident with her dads car. The father gets out, grabs her, ad delivers some very sound spanks to his daughters backside, while the stepfather tries to intervene, which makes the situation worse, because he gets a punch, and the little girl receives more whacks with a branch.

This is one of the few cases where two different sorts of chastisement are used in one scene.

POLTERGEIST - THE LEGACY TV - SERIES (1996) PILOT threat

In the pilot episode (1996) of the television series, "Poltergeist: The Legacy," among the major characters introduced are Dr. Rachel Corrigan, played by Helen Shave...and her seven year old daughter, Kat, played by Alexandra Purvis: For whatever reason, the writers lost very little time in letting viewers know that Dr. Corrigan, despite being a mental health professional, nevertheless believes in spankings as discipline for her daughter.

Early in the first episode, mother and daughter are in a graveyard in Ireland visiting the graves of Father and Son who both died in a car accident. While Mom Rachel is preoccupied, Daughter Kat believes she hears her brother's voice calling to her. Urgently heeding what she thinks is her dead brother's call, little Kat runs off without her mother's permission and heads straight into the curio shop.

When Rachel realizes Kat has vanished she frantically runs down the street calling Kat's name and discovers her daughter kneeling on the floor in front of the ancient locked box which has so fascinated and called to her. Rachel, nearly hysterical with worry, scolds Kat, and sounds just "this far" from promising her a spanking. But Kat keeps talking in a sweet sad voice about her dead brother and about how the box reminds her of him, and one observes the critical moment pass as Rachel's urge to spank dissipates.

It was a satire on everyday life in Russia and was performed by a comedy group called "masks group". The show was created by  George Deliev.

The program was intended to be an outlet for children with questions and problems. In the program, problems of children were treated through skits and songs. I have no actual proof, it is just a suspicion as the title of the post suggests.

But I want to put the challenge to you:

Something from this still , from "the Rookie Cop" in which a young Virginia Weidler with her little dog supports a young policeman in catching a bunch of thieves, a still I came across a while ago, points towards a possible spanking.

There is a picture before that, showing some kind of argument between Virginia and her little dog, and that man and his big dog. The way he holds her, the knees somewhat bent, her skirt partially raised, so that her panties are visible - suggest to me, that there might - just might ! - have been an otk situation going on before.

Who will find the truth?

ADDITION: I could watch the move in the meatime, and there is no spanking scene of any kind in it.

However in the novel, although containing no such scene,  there are two other spanking references:

Baby Girl wagging her head. “My bafroom!”

Miss Leefolt snatch her up, give her a pop on the leg.

“Miss Leefolt, she don’t know what she do—”

“Get back in the house, Aibileen!”

I hate it, but I go in the kitchen. I stand in the middle, leave the door open behind me.

“I did not raise you to use the colored bathroom!” I hear her hiss-whispering, thinking I can’t hear, and I think, Lady, you didn’t raise your child at all.

“This is dirty out here, Mae Mobley. You’ll catch diseases! No no no!” And I hear her pop her again and again on her bare legs.

After a second, Miss Leefolt potato-sack her inside. There ain’t nothing I can do but watch it happen. My heart feel like it’s squeezing up into my throatpipe. Miss Leefolt drop Mae Mobley in front a the tee-vee and she march to her bedroom and slam the door. I go give Baby Girl a hug. She still crying and

she look awful confused.

“I’m real sorry, Mae Mobley,” I whisper to her. I’m cussing myself for taking her out there in the first place. But I don’t know what else to say, so I just hold

her.

We set there watching Li’l Rascals until Miss Leefolt come out, ask ain’t it past time for me to go. I tuck my bus dime in my pocket. Give Mae Mobley one

more hug, whisper, “You a smart girl. You a good girl.”

On the ride home, I don’t see the big white houses passing outside the window. I don’t talk to my maid friends. I see Baby Girl getting spanked cause a

me. I see her listening to Miss Leefolt call me dirty, diseased.

From An Early silent comedy with a complete length of 14 minutes.

A widower has been bringing up his young daughter with the help of a nurse. The widower's sister, though, considers the child to be spoiled and undisciplined, so she insists on hiring a strict governess for the girl. When the governess arrives, both the daughter and the nurse dislike her, but the father is captivated by the governess's long, wavy, chestnut-colored hair. When the father asks the governess to marry him, the nurse and the daughter realize that they have to act quickly.

In The End the child wins over  the governess (by cutting her hair), yet her bottom has to take a little warming for it in this scene.

Five kids from L.A. switch places with the lads from Northern California and board the train with a dog. Two are brothers, Ernie and Farina, who've already shown creativity in their shoeshine business. Once on the train, it's horns, fireworks, sneezing powder and other mayhem. Will anyone arrive safely in San Francisco after this pleasant journey?

In the scene in question two of the kids change their clothing; then when starting a fight the boy who is wearing the girls clothes gets spanked by the girls mother, while the girl, dressed as a boy, gets spanked by Tillford.

DDR movie based on the children’s book by Alex Wedding.


Prague 1934: Anton (10), Alex (9) and Rosi (8) and Ferdi (6) listen to a a little radio they manifactured themselves. In the news they hear about the soviet ship Tscheljsukin that is stuck in the northern polar region enclosed within the ice, with little hope to save the crew. The kids decide to go on an expedition to save the crew of the ship…

Needless to say, that they never reach the north pole, nor do they actually save the russians, but the kids do experience quite an adventure. When they finally return home,the other kids in prague whorship them like heroes, yet their parents adminster some public spankings, in best „our gang“ manner, with Rosis little spanking in central view.
