LET'S GO ! (2014) M/f, bendover, bathing suit, carpet beater, w


This german TV movie is based on the life story of Laura Waco who wrote an acclaimed novel about her experiences. She grew up as daughter of two jewish KZ survivors in post war Munich.  The film concentrates on her childhood in flashback, and on the effects the nazi terror had on her parents and indirectly on herself, though her education. The film was directed and written by Michael  Verhoeven (“The White Rose”, “The Nasty Girl”).

 
The actual scene shows young  Laura who accidentally almost drowned in a lake, and has been saved by a US soldier, being returned home savely. Yet her embittered father, instead of being happy, spanks her with a carpet beater to demonstrate to her, as he shouts, what it means to be alive.
