MERETTE (1982) SCENE TWO M/f, standing, cane, s, w



This french made-for- TV movie is actually based on a story within a story in Gottfried Kellers novel "der grüne Heinrich"(green Henry).

Mérette (12) is a pretty girl living within a patrician, strictly Calvinist family in 19th century Switzerland. When her mother dies, Mérette loses faith in God, which makes her family and the villagers turn against her. Pastor Magnoux decides to take care of the girl but drives her into even deeper isolation.

The movie contains two caning scenes. This is scene two.


In this clip Mérette, coming home from playing with her friends, gets caned in front of the house for skinny dipping.
