A Television remake of the motion
picture musical from 1944, which is featured on this blog also (http://www.villafiorita.blogspot.de/2011/03/meet-me-in-st-louis-1944-ff-threats.html)
and is based on the same screenplay
St. Louis 1903. The well-off Smith family has four
beautiful daughters, including Esther and little Tootie. 17-year old Esther has
fallen in love with the boy next door who has just moved in, John. He however,
barely notices her at first. The family is shocked when Mr. Smith reveals that
he has been transfered to a nice position in New York, which means that the
family has to leave St. Louis and the St. Louis Fair
As in the motion picture from 14 years earlier there are two spanking related scenes in that
film.
Scene One
After having had an
unpleasant encounter with his youngest daughter rollerblades on the stairs, the
head of the family asks her to remind him to spank her right after dinner.

Scene Two
The oldest
sister puts a young Patty Duke over her knee and where the scene is
stopped in the 1944 cinematic version, just when the hand is about to be
applied to the naughty bottom, in this television version several hard spanks
are shown landing, until the oldest sister realizes, that she forgot about her
lover on the veranda.
