In
the series pilot, Roseanne is summoned to a parent/teacher conference after
Darlene has been barking in class.
Later
in the episode Darlene has unintentionally cut herself, and her parents doctor
her in the kitchen. After this being done, Dan gives her an encouring, audible
smack on her behind.
